This has been a great experience for me over all. The first day I walked in the class now knowing anything not knowing what to expect. I remember the first time we ever got out the cameras I only knew the basics, but after this class i know so much more. For our first shooting assignment we were told to take 25 photos of the same thing. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing so all of my pictures turned out horrible. After the first assignment I started to get the hang of it.We learned about shutter speed and aperture ISO about the different cameras which was all very interesting. This was a challenging class but in a good way I really liked the aspect of you can do your work turn it in and get a grade or you can work for it and get a better grade.

In this demo we were challenged with creating an image that contained a main subject in this case a person but they had to be isolated with blur. We learned how to focus on where we wanted the picture to be taken and how to capture the photo with the right settings. It was very difficult to not get the subject blurry because we had to take the picture at the right time.
In this photo assignment I decided to take pictures of two of my cousins for people. This was a very fun experience because I gave them free range to make whatever face they wanted to and I think it turned out pretty good. Their wasn't really a good time for me to go to their house so I got their a little late so the sun was starting to go down. Aperture 5.6
Shutter Speed 1/600 sec ISO 1250 This week we were in groups of three and we had to go out to well lighted areas and take portraits. I liked this project because it challenged us to use our knowledge of the camera to enhance the photo. If I do this project again I would make sure that my camera is better tuned and adjusted better.
We were challenged to take 4 or more pictures of ourself or of a friend and then photoshop it to make it look like one picture. There were many challenges just because I didn't understand how to blend all the pictures together. Another challenge was the way I took the pictures, I made myself overlap in all of my photos and when I was editing this made things a lot harder.
In this photo shop assignment we were challenged to take a picture somewhere in the school and then use our imaginations to interpret the school in a different way. I tried to follow the halloween theme, Im not super happy with how this turned out. Because of the added images it does not look very realistic. I liked this assignment and I think it really helped our Photoshop skills.
My subject for this assignment was light, this was a very challenging subject because of the sky it was hard for me to get a completely dark back round, I also couldn't get it to focus in on the light. If I had realized that the sky would be a problem then I would have done most of them inside. I learned that even thought the pictures didn't turn out the way I wanted I really enjoy light painting. I really liked the kind of simplistic look of this photo I did tweak it I added a more vibrant blue and put it into rule of thirds.
ISO 100 Aperture 5.6 Shutter Speed 20.0 sec This project was one of the more fun ones for me Because, I was able to adjust them any way i wanted and I didn't have hope that the picture turned out good I knew that i would. I learned that if you want the picture to be interesting you should use many different subjects. Because I was so focused on this one subject I kind of forgot to try new things and a new perspective. Iso: 800
Shutter speed: 1/80 Aperture: 5.0 The point of this was to figure out how to format multiple pictures into one panoramic. We are now able to convert photos into panoramic pics and this could be super helpful in life for any kind of photography.
The only animal I had to shoot was my dog, I look . back and i realize that I was very boring with this assignment. I learned that in order to be happy with your photos you need to take chances and be creative. I am not a huge fan of this assignment and would love to do it again because I know I can do better. ISO 400
Aperture 5.6 Shutter Speed 1/2000 I also brightened up the photo and gave it a little more color. |
